Short: The Body’s Electrical Drainage System

Grounding can be compared to a city drainage system. When water has no clear path out, it accumulates, pressure rises, and the system becomes overloaded.

Drainage canals restore flow by giving the excess water somewhere to move. In the same way, grounding provides a conductive path that allows excess electrical charge to redistribute rather than remain locally accumulated.
