We understand that issues can arise with your purchase, and we are here to help facilitate a smooth return process for products that are damaged or defective, or if there's an issue with sizing. Please see below for our detailed return policy:
Return Criteria for footwear that isn't ARES Groundwear
Return Window: You have 30 days from the date of purchase to initiate a return if your product is damaged or defective, or if there's a sizing issue.
Orders cannot be cancelled once tracking information has been sent out.
Eligibility for Returns:
Returns are accepted for products that are damaged, defective, or if there is a sizing issue.
Due to the handmade nature of our products, we cannot accept returns for any reasons other than damage, defects, or sizing issues.
Proof of Damage or Defect:
Proof of damage or defect is required for all returns. Please submit a photo or video showing the damage or defect with your return request.
Without proof of the damage or defect, we are unable to accept the return.
How to Return:
Contact Us: Reach out to us at robert@thegroundedathletellc.com to start the return process. Provide your order number, contact details, and a clear explanation of the issue, along with the required proof of damage or defect.
Return Authorization: We will assess your return request and, if approved, provide you with instructions on how to return the product.
Shipping the Product Back: Securely package the product with all original packaging, accessories, and documentation. Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer.
Inspection and Refund/Exchange: Once we receive and inspect the returned product, we will process your refund or exchange. If approved, refunds will be issued to the original payment method, and exchanges will be arranged if the issue was related to sizing.
Conditions:
The product must be returned in the condition it was received.
Returns may be rejected if the product is damaged, altered, or missing parts for reasons not due to our error.
Products showing signs of wear, use, or alteration will not be accepted for return.
Exchanges: If you have a sizing issue, please indicate your desire for an exchange when you contact us. Exchanges are subject to product availability.

ARES Groundwear Return & Exchange Policy
I stand behind the craftsmanship of ARES Groundwear. If you're not satisfied, I accept returns and exchanges under the following conditions:
Eligibility
Returns/exchanges must be requested within 30 days of the delivery date.
Items must be unworn, unused, and returned in the original condition.
Shoes must be free of:
Scuffs
Stains
Creases
Odors
Dirt or debris
The conductive metal on the outsole must show no scratches, wear, or discoloration.
Items must include all original packaging, including the shoe box, inserts, and any accessories.
Return Condition & Refunds
Returned shoes not in original condition may be denied or subject to a restocking fee.
Shoes returned with defects, damage, or signs of wear (including scratched grounding elements) will not be refunded the full amount.
Final refund amount will be determined upon inspection.
Non-Returnable Items
Shoes worn outside or showing visible wear.
Returns missing original packaging.
How to Start a Return or Exchange
Email robert@thegroundedathletellc.com with your order number and reason for return.
Wait for approval and return instructions. Unauthorized returns will not be accepted.
Use the provided return label or ship to the return address manually. Return shipping costs are the customer’s responsibility.
Processing
Returns are inspected upon arrival. If approved, refunds are issued to the original payment method within 7–10 business days.
Exchanges ship once the original item is received and approved.
Repair of ARES Groundwear
If the metal grounding component ever detaches from the sole, please contact us. We’ll either send you a prepaid return label so we can perform the repair, or—if you prefer—we can ship the replacement part directly to you with instructions for self-installation.
